Use Gmail labels to scope and route email.

Labels are the control plane for MailAgent.

Scope the agent

• Included labels: MailAgent only processes threads with these labels.

• Excluded labels: MailAgent ignores threads with these labels.

This keeps the agent away from sensitive areas.

Automate routing

MailAgent can add labels based on content.

Common patterns:

• Sales when pricing or demos are mentioned.

• Support when there is a bug report.

• Needs review when confidence is low.

Label rules live in two places

• Product settings: hard include/exclude boundaries.

• Your prompt: classification and routing behavior.
